I'm booking a trip and I've got the option between Delta and Korean Air. I'm happy with Delta, but have never flown with Korean Air. Korean Air will be about $700 cheaper (round trip).

It's a trip to Asia.

Any input is appreciated.

Flew Korean Air to Japan, the flight was awesome, the level of service you get will amaze you, the flight attendants are poised, smiling, treat you like a guest, and are all physically slender and attractive (they are!). Not like some other airlines....we see who treat you like they're doing you a favor, and look like they just woke up and having a long bad day, not to mention bumping into your seat (aisle) going up & down the aisle. Also, the food is good, tasty, and different, not just the same old we're all used to. And best of all, you save big bucks on the airfare, when flying to Asia, we always try to book Korean Airlines first!!

Yes, years ago our company used to book the national airline of the visited company out, and a good US company back. Korea Air was absolutely fantastic for quality of service, cleanliness and food/drink.

We have also had great experiences on Korean Air. The staff was kind and patient with our kids. The food was good. The entertainment was good. Seats were comfortable. Without a doubt we paid less and got more compared to flying with United or American.

I don't, but my wife does, when she goes back to visit family. Excellent.

Stay away from Asiana Airlines.

Looks like your flight on Korean Air will get you miles on any their partners:

SkyTeam Upgrades are also available with the following SkyTeam Alliance carriers:

Aeroflot / Aeromexico / Air France / China Airlines / China Southern Airlines / Czech Airlines / Delta Air Lines / KLM Royal Dutch Airlines / Saudia Airlines

Just be sure it's not NORTH Korean Air.

Tickets are booked and they were cheaper than Delta. I'm not looking forward to the destination, but at least the plane ride should be nice.

Korean Air is awesome, I'd fly them way before I'd fly any US airline. I flew with KA on a direct flight from JFK to Seoul and enjoyed the flight. Beautiful and friendly stewardesses that go out of their way to make sure your flight is as comfortable as possible.

I've mostly used Korean Air on my forays to Japan. Low fares + impeccable service = why the hell not. And yes, everyone notices how slim and attractive the cabin attendants are.

I was on KAL007 exactly one year after that flight wandered into Soviet airspace and was shot down.

We also have flown Korean Air several times to Japan and Korea. Definitely one of my favorite airlines.

I've flown to Incheon on KA several times out of ATL, and I must say, it's the flight attendants! Wink

I've flown their business class a few times. My only dissapointments were ordering the Korean meal one time and also drinking too many "free" whiskey sours once and having a splitting headache for the next 7 hours of the flight.
