I picked up a Frost keychain knife that was defective right out of the box. Call Frost and they were utterly useless in every aspect. For a Tennesee-based company, it was rather shocking. But that was my experience with them and it will be the only one.

Best to list-out the problems you had with them, make sure to include names, dates and times so, you don't come across as a disingenuous crank. Keep it simple, using bullet-points helps. Send to their president or, at least cc some executives, see if they move to make things right.

When that fails, post your review of them on Yelp, Google and others.

the defect is in the pivot. The blade swings/travels to the point where the entire blade is out of its "resting" position.

Only the blade and they say they assemble them in the USA.

Well, the way my business acumen goes, if a company ignores/blows off their customer on their low-end stuff how would they handle the same situation had it been their high-end stuff?
So I wrote to Steve Frost to call to his attention as to how his service people treat their customers w pics as well as the manes of his employees I spoke to.
This is where the bullet hits the bone. As of end of day, no response.
So I will see if this is a company culture or a few poor employees.
It's the principle not the cost or value.

Perhaps a thread on knives could be authored in The Essential Edge? And a complaint in “Wha’ts Your Deal”.
