I'd really appreciate some suggestions .... Our kitchen radio finally died.

1. I am now looking for a radio that can accommodate an external FM radio or something that gets excellent reception, because we live in the sticks of north central Idaho. I have one favorite FM station that is not easy to get.

2. As I age ( I do a lot of that, it seems) , I am losing my high frequency hearing. So I am also looking for a radio that is adjustable for treble and bass. What I usually do is turn off the bass.

3. This sits on a kitchen counter , so it can't be huge. Boom box size is fine.

4. I'd be willing to spend some $$ for a quality piece...

I really appreciate suggestions or opinions !! Thanks ! mike

Not cheap by any means but probably one of the best options.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I’ve had one of these for a while. We live in the country and it receives signals other radios don’t

If you go with the Bose, get the SoundTouch version. If even with an FM antenna you can't get a good signal, you can use TuneIn Radio if the stations you like have an internet feed.

We use a blue tooth bose speaker and broadcast to with our phones blue tooth. You can use any blue tooth speaker FYI. The wife and I much prefer this setup to a standard radio/cd.

I'am looking for the same set up,w/o success. This big grin on my face is because I remember paying $700.00 for my first 75 watt per channel stereo . Big Grin My cousin has the Bose mentioned above and loves it. He and his wife carry it from room to room , they never know where to start looking for it.

My wife has a Bose unit with AM/FM and cd player.
We have ours in our kitchen and it sits under some cupboards. I do think sitting under the cupboards hurts the reception. If I move it out from under them, the reception "seems" better.
My wife now wishes it had a tv in it...geez.
