No such deposit in my checking or savings account. No email either.

I never receive such things from the government.

I read about it in the news a couple of days ago, but then when I saw it I thought, what the heck is this? I'd forgotten. Then I got the email.

Dear Carl,

Congress provided 2 Billion Dollars to make improvements to the Medicare program for Americans enrolled in traditional Medicare. I believe the best way to do that is to put healthcare dollars back where they belong—directly in the hands of the American People.

As a result, you are receiving a One-Time Payment of $90 to offset some of the cost of your October Medicare premium. This will ensure these funds benefit YOU and your individual healthcare needs.

Healthcare Dollars should benefit Patients, not Insurance Companies or Government Bureaucrats. Since returning to office, I have fought to lower Healthcare Costs, increase Accountability, and Put Patients First. As a result, I am proud to be the First President in History to bring down Americans’ prescription drug prices. Through TrumpRx, we are delivering massive discounts on Household Prescription Drugs, and my Most-Favored-Nation Pricing Agreements have already saved Americans more than 1 Billion Dollars on much-needed Medications. We also secured an unprecedented 50 Billion Dollar investment to transform Rural Healthcare, expanded access to Health Saving Accounts for millions of people on Obamacare, and restored Price Transparency, all while rooting out the Waste, Fraud, and Abuse across our Healthcare System.

I will never stop fighting to put the American People FIRST, restore Affordability, protect your hard-earned money, and lower the Cost of Healthcare.

May God bless you, and may He continue to bless the United States of America.

Sincerely,

President Trump signature
DONALD J. TRUMP
PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

I can guess that the fraudsters are working on this.

“Send your bank account ID and password so we can deposit your $90 Medicare refund.”

Too many fraudsters in this world.

Grok query:
“Why didn’t I receive the One-Time Payment of $90 for Medicare?”

Part of the Grok response:
“According to CMS’s FAQ, you get it only if all of these are true:
• You are in Original Medicare (fee-for-service) with Part B — not Medicare Advantage.
• You live in the United States.
• Medicaid is not paying your Part B premium (including through a Medicare Savings Program).
• You do not pay IRMAA, the income-related Part B surcharge.”

The last bullet is how they screwed me out of the $90 deposit. Even though I pay a helluva lot for Medicare because of the Part B surcharge.

To add to Pipe Smoker's post:

Eligibility criteria. According to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the White House, you will receive the $90 rebate if all of the following apply:
You have Original Medicare Part B coverage (not Medicare Advantage/Part C)
You live in the United States
You are not receiving premium assistance from Medicaid to help pay your Part B premium
You are not paying an IRMAA (the higher income surcharge for Part B premiums)

Who does not get it. The rebate is not available to:
Medicare Advantage (Part C) enrollees
People receiving Medicaid premium assistance
Higher‑income beneficiaries who pay IRMAA
Non‑U.S. residents

How much and what it’s for:
Amount: $90, paid once in October 2026
Purpose: To help offset the 2026 standard Part B monthly premium of $202.90 — the rebate covers about 44% of one month’s cost
Funding source: Medicare Improvement Fund, created in 2008

Payment schedule:
Most eligible people will get a direct deposit on or around October 8, 2026 via the Social Security Administration
Those without direct deposit will receive a paper check from the U.S. Treasury later in October
No application is required — the payment is automatic

Source: Copilot search.
