If a vehicle I own has fog lights I immediately swap the bulbs to a yellow LED. Yellow just picks up the edge lines really well for me.
I did this with my Tundra and added some cheap yellow housings. They worked alright then a got a flashing bulb. I had read about Diode Dynamics SS3 SAE/DOT pods and lots of folks in the Tundra world liked them especially because they have a bracket that is a direct bolt on plug and play kit to replace the factory fogs.
So I ordered them in the Sport line which is their lowest output.
Wow, these things give out an amazing light with beautiful cutoffs that extend out nicely past the edge of the road.

Well the other morning I left the house about 0430 to head down to the cabin and I hit some nasty nasty fog. I could barely see past the hood of my truck.
These SS3s were an absolute life saver! Most of the drive is a narrow windy 2 lane. These lights absolutely lit up the center line and the side of the road as there are no edge lines in most spots. The center line was lit up so well it almost seemed like the line was raised and the edge of the road was lit up so well.

I can’t speak highly enough of the light output they come with an 8 year warranty and are assembled in the US. They have direct bolt in kits for a couple hundred vehicle models I believe.

Sadly, the do not make a kit for my wife’s Suburban but I am going to buy a set of their SSC2s and retrofit them into the Suburban bracket somehow.
