Overall I do not give two shits about the NBA...but that LeBron James is one hell of a basketball machine; you have to appreciate his intensity and dedication to his game. Game winning shot after game winning shot. ___________________________ All it takes...is all you got. ____________________________ For those who have fought for it, Freedom has a flavor the protected will never know ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ

He's incredibly overrated. I think he's the most overrated athlete of all-time, crammed down our throats by ESPN who is trying to anoint a greatest. He took the shot when the score was tied. If his team were down, he would've passed it off. And what he did was basically throw up garbage that just so happened to go in. This is the same guy who said he's more than an athlete. No, he's not. If it weren't for his ability to dribble a ball and having been born with his size and strength, he'd be working 3rd shift at a garage door factory. Guy is 6'8", 270 pounds and flops around every time contact is made. _____________

If you like or don’t like LeBron I get it He is polarizing for many of his on and off court actions His skill is undeniable. His impact on the game is undeniable. I would be interested to see any statistically based argument that proves otherwise Against the Pacers in the first round he led his team in all 9 of the stats that matter...points, assists, rebounds, steals, blocks, 3 points made, field goals made, free throws made, and minutes played. No one in the history of the NBA has done that in a series. Not Jordan. Not Bird. Not Magic. Not Kobe The criticism that he passes up crucial shots at crucial moments of the game is about 10 years old now. —————————————————— If the meek will inherit the earth, what will happen to us tigers?

I'm forced to listen to LeBron this, LeBron that and I don't even follow basketball. The curse of living in Cleveland. As long as he keeps putting back into the community and giving some kids a decent role model, he can do whatever he wants. Not minority enough!

I was at a friend’s house who is a NBA fan (I don’t care for it) so he had the game on. As soon as LeBron hit the game winning shot I commented, “too bad, he’ll be even more of an asshole now.” Ego is the anesthesia that deadens the pain of stupidity DISCLAIMER: These are the author's own personal views and do not represent the views of the author's employer.

As someone from the Chicagoland area, I'm so tired of the comparisons. James has a finals record of 3-5 and from the standpoint of many basketball fans, he was bailed out by teammates with a lucky bounce or another teammate taking the lead on 2 of those wins. The reality is that without those plays, he would be 1-7. For him to be mentioned as the greatest is an insult to guys like Magic, Kareem, Bird, Shaq and Kobe Bryant, among others. _____________

i do not watch any more. I have great memories of days gone by of the nba. I really do. Some great players and coaches. But as far as james goes. Yes he is undeniably a great player. As for the comparison or him and jordan. jordan had great players with him. not just pipen. and a great coach. james has had none of that. personally i think james is every bit as good as jordan. you could even put bryant in the same class. Although he too like jordan had some great player on his teams too. "Practice like you want to play in the game"

He is way too sensitive to be taken seriously. To compare James to MJ is to do James a disservice...their games are too different. No question James is a great player.

I’m curious how many that don’t think LeBron is any good routinely watch the NBA or basketball in general? I am a casual fan. Grandson of a college basketball coach. Son of a basketball coach. But at 6’5 I was the short fat football player. My 6’8 16 year old is a division 1 college prospect for basketball. I watch A LOT of basketball. The last year I bothered to count, he played 124 games in 9 different states (an NBA season is 82 games for comparison). He is at practice between 20-30 hours a week depending on travel for tournaments. We were on the road every weekend in April and this weekend as well So, even though I am a casual fan, I spend a lot of time with and talking to “basketball” people, many who, to put my lawyer hat in, would qualify as subject matter experts. There are plenty of them that are not lebron fans But I have never heard him seriously described as overrated. Ever. Most agree he will never achieve the level of succes Jordan did, but they separate accomplishments from skill. This message has been edited. I do not like Lebron and his big mouth. But having watched him play in high school and then when he first went into the pros and now. He is one heck of a BB player and maybe that is all he is good for? Hard to take anything away from his BB. His one weakness early on was his long range shot. Well, he worked on that long shot and really improved it. NRA Life Endowment member Tri-State Gun collectors Life Member

Who is this guy?! Have you ever watched a sporting event or are you more of the artistic type? You certainly don’t have a god damn clue what you’re talking about. And please answer this — why would he be working at a garage door factory? Give me a reason or admit that your stereotyping and borderline racist. _______________ Mind. Over. Matter.

This. James is one hell of a player, an all-timer, top-10 minimum...and i'm a Warrior's fan. That said, I don't care for his public commentary or, his over-meddlesomeness when it comes to 'his brand'. To his credit, he's not a thug and best of my knowledge, never been arrested. Much of 'his brand' is a result of ESPN playing king-maker and eagerly documenting and egging-on, 'the greatest ever' conversation.

According to the local fish wrap, SNL cut this promo but ran out of time last night to play it. Funny how true it is. Just like when LeBron took his talents to South Beach, the team just cratered. There is more talent on this team now but still would not have a snowballs chance without him.
