I'm 76 now and the last colonoscopy I had I was 70. The doc stopped in when it was all over and told me everything is fine and I don't need any more unless something pops up. I guess they figure why bother when you hit a certain age. .....never marry a woman who is mean to your waitress.

The doctor seriously recommended a follow up colonoscopy at 80? That’s kind of nuts.

Lucky to be Irish |
Also in my 70s. I had my “last” one about a year ago. Everything was fine but I was a little surprised to see my next one scheduled “as needed”. Eerie feeling after having one every fee years and now knowing the end must not be that far off. Funny, until then I felt pretty good! Glad your results were good.

My Dr. advised me he could schedule a a routine colonoscopy for the same visit as a planned upper GI endoscopy. I said as long as the camera goes down my esophagus first... Collecting dust.

If you see me running try to keep up |
They do provide color pictures of the colon. I have pics of mine, including polyp's they removed. I think I will refrain from posting - I do not like identifying pictures of me posted on the web......
