trapper189Update on OP: Camper is gonna be in 25-30 degree weather the next week or so, input appreciated
How are you connected to a well? If it’s a garden hose run across the ground that’s going to be a problem.
You’re talking about that small, I believe teardrop camper, right? What people would normally do is drain the tanks including the water heater; drain the water lines; keep the faucets open; pour pink RV antifreeze in the sink, shower, and toilet traps; and crash on a buddy’s couch for the week.

As for a poster mentioning my little teardrop, I sold that, now I’m in a 36’ toy hauler. Only toy haulers can handle the weight of all my guns and reloading gear
OK, that makes way more sense now. I knew you bought the truck, but missed or forgot that you got a new camper.
We had 30ish degree weather for a few days in the Big Bend area of Florida over Christmas break one year. We burned through 1 and 1/2 30lb propane tanks before I figured out the electric heat. The kids had 20 degree bags and did ok when we ran out of propane at 3am.

Redleg06Black tank needs enough liquid to allow it to flush out properly (as you probably already know) but here's a trick that may help in a pinch. Just before driving off with the rig, toss a bag of ice in the tank and let that scrub around as you drive. The extra water from the melted ice (if it doesn't freeze along the way) will aid in dumping later.

whanson_wiIf you're in the sticks, you could add the redneck skirting: square hay bales all the way around.
