It got real dark here, with thundering, then we got something like 20 drops in less than a minute, and it's over. Woo hoo!

Just started rumblings in the Woodlands, hoping we get at least a little rain.

We trudge on.
Yep, 16 and building chain link fence during the day, and working out trying to get in shape for two a days after work.

Let us know how hot it is when Mount Hood erupts.
Sure; but I’m just as likely as you to hear it on the news! Mt. Hood is a long ways away. Wink

Hmmm. Let us make it Mount Rainier then.

old rugged crossyou mean MT. Rainer? maybe
75-80 degrees and no humidity to speak of. Yeah, that is pretty hard to beat from now till mid sept or better.

And yes there are leftist everywhere. Spread out more now than ever. But whatever.
It is hot as all get here right now. I hope I can get over to the PNW at some point for some of that relief

I am envious.

clipper1well, I'm so old I can remember the drought we had in Texas during most of the 1950's. Lots of days in a row over 100 and no countable rain for years. It was dust bowl bad. But the people of Texas learned from it and created one of the best systems of dams and reservoirs in the country. I saw cracks in the ground wider than a truck tire.

old rugged crossHuh? Then tell us. The mudslides will consume much of the area. According to many experts.

I got my geography down… I’m far enough away from ‘dem volcanoes. As are you too. They do not have infinite reach

Stay off those lahars w/ their pyroclastic flows.
Science!

m58The heat this year has been insane. 106 outside temp yesterday while making a road trip from Corpus to Three Rivers-Choke Canyon Damn area.
Just absolute stifling this whole month. Generally there is a 20-30 mph wind blowing down here in the Coastal Bend which helps to cool you down some, however since summer kicked in there has been almost no wind at all to speak of.
