V-TailExiting News About Protons
For decades, a proton’s radius was believed to measure 0.88 femtometers, but it has just been discovered that the correct measurement is 0.84 femtometers.
I just thought that you'd want to know.

mrvmaxI will rest easy tonight knowing that. I cannot tell you how many times I have laid in bed, unable to sleep, knowing .88 could not be correct.

I’d like to see that myself. Sub-atomic particles are fuzzy objects, rather than solid little spheres. Quantum uncertainty.

TexasScrubDoes this affect the 88MPH/1.21 Gigawatts theorem of time travel in any way? I don't want to travel to the Titanic to divert course only to find out I'm already under water.

Fly-SigWell that explains the recent correction to Jupiter's size. NASA found that Jupiter's radius is actually 71,488 km instead of the long believed 71,492 km.
I harbor no negative feelings about this change. It isn't repulsive to correct errors, and in fact is positively an attractive quality.

Also Join1440.com isn't an actual scientific journal/reference site, so I'm holding out hope that this viscous rumor is inaccurate.
