P250UA5Child Car Seat Pros: 3yr old harness to booster recommendation
Our 3yr old's Recaro is about to expire & it seems Recaro has stopped manufacture & sale of child seats in the US.
Our 6yr old is in a Recaro Performance Sport & it's great. So we're looking for something similar for our 3yr old.

Black92LXI just went through the EXACT same. I love our Recaros and it was time for the oldest boy to go to a harnessed booster. There are tons of new Recaro high back boosters but no harnessed boosters on eBay. There are a few used ones I refuse to buy used car seats/boosters.
A bunch of reading lead me to the Graco Wayz 3 which seems to have been replaced with the new transitions model. Great reviews all over the place. I found mine on clearance at Walmart.
Though on the site it is no longer on sale.
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Grac...Seat-Gordon/50901250The boy likes it very much. Says it is quite comfortable and is very similar in design to the Recaro and made in the USA.
The Recaros are available on Amazon from Japan for $500 if you are so inclined.

maladatAfter much research, we have our littlest in a Clek Foonf car seat.
https://clekinc.com/foonf/We have had our older kid in a Clek Oobr booster (the backrest part of the booster is removable so you can start out in a full booster and then switch to just the seat part).
https://clekinc.com/oobr/They are well made, comfortable, and easy to set up. According to tests, they are very safe.

Scuba Steve SigWe are in the exact same boat and have been using Recaro seats for our 3 and 5yr olds. Our 5yr old is almost 6 and is outgrowing his, so we will put our 3 (almost 4) in it so she is lower and doesn't kick the seats as much as hers is the convertable one and his is the harness booster.

Britax here as well. Happy with safety aspects and functionality / ease of use.
