You don't say what you are actually trying to use this second battery for? Which to me affects the design in any number of ways.

Camp fridge, lights, charge devices, and air compressor mainly.

Seems like a lot of these newer vehicles are really restricted in this regards (ie 3rd gen Tacoma seems like it costs some serious bucks to do what your asking due to the CPU controlled [limited] charging system)

2014 Tundra so don’t have all that to worry about.

Leaptrend 60A 12V DC to DC Battery Charger for Lithium Lifepo4, AGM Batteries, 60 Amp DC-DC 12Volt Chargers in-Vehicle for Car, Marine, RV, Boat, Van, Travel Trailer, Off Grid with Flooded Gel Battery
$134.00 on amazon
-charge controller type, cost?
-Cables and wiring cost?
-solar panels type? And cost? And wiring?

Bluetti 180ac is $799.00 all in from amazon.
Am I missing something?

Yeah, not looking at $900 batteries.

Many batteries are $250-$300.
DC-DC Charger $129
Wire & Connectors $75
Battery box $65
So around $500

Sole we’ll count as a different set of costs because I’ll do that later and even it is not included within a bluetti power station.

Looks like the 2014 5.7l Tundra could have one of four alternators:
100amp
130amp - if you have read seat DVD package
150amp - if you have the towing package
170amp - if you have the rear seat DVD and towing packages

I'm not sure about the last one though.

According to this guy's testing: link, that Renogy 40amp DC-DC charger is 80% efficient at 40amps output, so it takes 50amps from the alternator to get 40amps out of the charger. You should be OK with the 40amp charger as long as you have the towing package and you are not actually towing.

I don't know what happens if you charge and tow at the same time. Maybe there's not enough power for the electric trailer brakes?

Unless your loads or portability demand it I'd skip the Lithium battery and install a second conventional battery. Parallel that with the Tundra primary battery with a cutoff switch on the second battery and a low voltage cutoff to the loads. If you want to remove the second battery a couple of Andersen connectors.
I use blue sea systems stuff for this kind of stuff and those parts are about $100 plus whatever you pay for the battery, box and necessary cables.

Weight is my biggest concern as it will be used frequently away from the truck.

This Renogy charger: Link, let’s you hook up your alternator and solar panels at the same time. It’ll charge from while the truck is running to lower the load on the alternator and solar panels when the truck is not running. Or you can turn the solar input off and it will charge from the alternators alone.

Plenty of lawn service people are moving to EGO products and installing systems similar to what you want including solar.

You might find some alternatives there
