Actually 2 Buc-ee's near him, one closer up at International Golf Village towards Jax and one south in Daytona.

Welcome to Florida you'll love it and you're down here for the best weather, it has been a bit cooler this year.

Lots of good advice, agree with TatorTodds suggestion to get a direct connection for your generator to the main electric panel. Just turn off the 220 stuff and run the fans, lights, fridge, tv. We have propane for the stove and water heater so with the generator we have the ability to cook and take a hot shower.

A direct connection generator is on the list, but it's not at the top. Lots of expenses with a move like this, especially with today's prices. It's like we are bleeding money.

Buc-ee's is about 5 miles from our house. Their gas prices are pretty good so we usually get gas there or the Costco across the road. It's mayhem getting in and out of the Buc-ee's / Costco area, but worth saving .30 to .40 per gallon.

Her Nana clock has been ticking hard so we moved 20 minutes away from them to be close to our 6 year old granddaughter, and 4 year old twin grandsons. It's pretty awesome to be treated like a rock star when they see me. They actually like me.

We moved to St Augustine and are about 30 minutes from the beaches. The weather has been perfect, but I know we are in for hot and humid starting in a few weeks.

We are also about 15 minutes away from Top Gun Supply St Augustine. It's been a while since I ordered from them having worked at a gun shop and range in PA and being able to get what I needed through work. I'm looking forward to stopping in their store and checking it out. Sooner or later I need to get a job so maybe Tom and Michelle are hiring??

Florida government is much more efficient than PA. It only took 55 minutes to get my drivers license, register my truck, register to vote, and get my LTCF. The people down here are also much more friendly and helpful. Go to Home Depot and usually no less than 3 or 4 employees ask you if you need help, when in PA their motto seems to be "don't make eye contact".

Life has been crazy and busy these last few years. Moving from a house you've lived in for almost 35 years isn't easy. Especially when your significant other can't throw stuff away, but we're finally settled in and have some time to enjoy life for a minute.

Hopefully I'll also have the opportunity to spend more time here again on the Forum.

What part of PA did you live in and move away from?

Your Buick Grand Sport?

ETA: On closer inspection, it looks like an SS badge, not a GS.
Still…

Gorgeous!

We lived just outside of Philadelphia in Glenside Montgomery County.

Thank you!
It's a 1972 Buick GS 455 (Gran Sport)
It's one of only 1,099 GS 455's made in 1972. Most were GS 350's.

We've had it for 38 years. I bought it from the original owner in 1985 and restored it myself with help from a few mechanics and body men at a big Buick dealership where I worked in the Parts Dept back in the 80's. It has 73K miles on it now and so far I've driven it more in the past two months than I did in the last 10 years.
