At work, I see a young new employee's email to me.
At the very end of their signature block there it is:
He/him/his
How long until this is mandatory?

Not trying to be obtuse for asking but is that a woke little girl telling you how they'd like to be referred? I'm glad I work in a state where I can let any employee go and not have to give any reason.

It’s tough enough keeping up with the important stuff in the world, much less this horse shit. I had no idea there were so many confused people in the world. Actually, it’s mostly this country I suspect.

Don't you know that failing to use someone's preferred pronouns is, like, literally rape?
Clearly you need another bout of HR retraining to help curb your cis-gendered fascist microaggressions.

I'd be all for them being literally raped then so they can learn the subtle differences.

I don't understand. What is the significance of this? What are you supposed to do or not do?

That's the employee listing their preferred pronouns, so other snowflakes know what words are okay to use when referring to him/her/them/zhim/it.
Because you can't just assume someone's gender, right?

Well, how about just ignoring it? And if you can't ignore it, walk away. And don't tell me that you can't walk away, because you can. It's about the only thing that's actually in your control.

Several months ago my wife got a work email that said a team member had undergone a transition and will now be adressed by their feminine name and prefered pronouns. I saw this not as an announcement but as a warning.

Would dipshit work when referring to him? That would be my preferred name when referring to him.

This is where I draw the line. I'm just not going to play these games and any employer who allows this nonsense to take place is going to lose good people and end up with only the loons.

If I got hired to run such a company. I would fire the the HR staff. Hire an office manager. Female. Hire an operation manager to oversee daily operations. Spend a few days a week in the office smoking cigars and counting money. The rest of all this in pure BS.
Ya, I know that would never work.

What’s their name? Could it be unisex?
I saw this recently at work, too. But his name is Devin (which could a be male or female) name. So, while it caught me off guard, I guess it is nice to know if it’s a dude or a girl that I’m talking to.

Just use his/her name all the time, never a pronoun. Problem solved.
