In my first post, I had originally addended that “she hitched her wagon to a meteorite” but removed that part, feeling it was a bit too much in mixing metaphors. I still think it’s true, and applicable, though. She signed up for the long haul, win or lose, and that haul came rocketing into the ground with cosmic force. That much being true, it’s not surprising that she almost looks like she’s been doing time in Andersonville.
