Anybody...ANYBODY that thinks giving 16 year olds the vote is a good idea is mentally deficient to the extent that they should be institutionalized.

Cheesy Rice, the majority of the people voting NOW couldn't pass a 10 question Freshman High School test on Civics.

The same people pushing this are the same ones who think the age to exerciseyour 2A rights should be raised, because 18 year olds aren't responsible enought.

I started voting at 18. I have voted in almost every state / Federal election since. I do my damn’st to vote.

That being said I voted for Clinton.....for a piece of ass when I was 18.

All I am saying is DO THE MATH!! Hell I don’t think you should vote unless you own property and are at least 30 at this point.

As an aside I have met Bill and Hillary at different points. Bill.......I don’t agree with but I feel like I could sit down and throw back a bunch of cold ones and talk shit with.........Hillary......”See You Next Tuesday” if you know what I mean.

Liberals can’t have it both ways. They claim that 16 year olds are old enough to make decisions for a President.

At the same time they say teenage brains are too undeveloped to be held accountable for their crimes.
“As any parent knows," wrote Justice Anthony Kennedy for the 5-4 majority, youths are more likely to show "a lack of maturity and an underdeveloped sense of responsibility" than adults. "... These qualities often result in impetuous and ill-considered actions and decisions."
He also noted that "juveniles are more vulnerable or susceptible to negative influences and outside pressures, including peer pressure," causing them to have less control over their environment.
Some child advocates have pointed to the Supreme Court decision and the research as evidence that teens — even those accused of serious crimes — should not be regarded in the same way as adults in the criminal justice system.”

Well, the guy who is pushing it in Oregon is a guy who's political career ended when it was uncovered that in 1993 he hit a woman who refused to have sex with him at a college party.

Anybody who thinks giving 16 year olds the vote is a good idea is a democrat and believes that they will vote for democrats. Nothing more, nothing less.

It’s not a bad assumption, really as they have a lot in common. Both vote for whatever their friends think is cool and can’t understand the consequences of their actions.

16 year olds should be allowed to vote
16 year olds should be tried as adults in all criminal cases
16 year olds should all be eligible for the death penalty
16 year olds should be eligible to serve in the military, and be required to register for the draft
16 year olds should be able to buy alcohol and cigarettes
16 year olds should be considered "legal" regarding the age of consent
16 year olds should be able to enter into legal contracts
16 year olds arrested crossing into the country illegally should be jailed and thrown into general population

And 16 year olds should be able to buy guns.

You can't have your cake and eat it too.
