Enjoy your Fire HD 10 bigdeal. You absolutely got a great deal on it. The option of a wireless charging dock sealed the deal for me on the HD 8 Plus (not yet available on the 10 I don't think) and I'm really enjoying using it for my purposes. Works as an Amazon show when docked (with hands free Alexa of course) and with tablet features. It also replaces my Kindle Voyage reader nicely. ANYTHING else bigger, faster and/or more expensive would have been a waste of money for me and may not have checked the boxes the Fire HD 8 does.

I too, prefer an actual keyboard. WOOT! has a deal going on right now. Apple compact bluetooth keyboard, re-furb, forty-five bucks. I grabbed one. It pairs with my iThings (iPhone and iPad), but one at a time.

Logitech offers a compact bluetooth keyboard that has a switch, making it easy to pair with three devices and quickly switch the keyboard to any of them.

Using a keyboard paired with a phone or tablet accomplishes two things: the obvious one is ease of typing, the one that I did not even think about until I started using the keyboard is the additional display area that is freed up on the screen of the phone or tablet when the keyboard image is not displayed.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

I have a fire tablet. And thought it would be a good value. It’s left me wanting for every usage. It’s more like a toy. Maybe good for streaming you tube for kids.

I would not buy again. And then on top of that Amazon. There are degrees of evil. Amazon, google and Microsoft are top 3 at the bottom.

I’ve got a few fire tablets that I think I paid 30 bucks apiece for a few years back around Christmas. I use them to watch movies and TV and read books. For that they are perfect.

I have a Surface pro tablet that I use as a personal computer. It’s absolutely fantastic.
