I think the owner, the mods, and even some members have thinned the herd of doorknobs effectively.

With that said maybe we should let one go out in an epic rant/meltdown every once in a while for the sheer entertainment of it.

Sounds like a good CUT for you?

I think Para always has and will have high expectations of his membership here and expects we conduct ourselves as if these conversations were face to face. At least that is my perception, I won’t pretend to know what he thinks and feels. I, also, think that’s why so many people appreciate this forum. As to why there haven’t been as many blowouts, I’m not too sure but I think Rogue has some good points there.

Also, option two should be changed to excellent ownership and moderation because well Para isn’t a moderator Wink

My vote goes to excellent moderation.

I follow another firearm focused forum that shall remain nameless. There are frequent trainwrecks that would have Gomez Addams laughing in glee. In about 99.9% of the cases it is the same 5 or 6 members that dominate a thread with infantile threats/comments/insults.

Para and the other mods ensure that type of nonsense is minimized. The result is a forum that maintains a courteous tone and members that continue to awe me with the breadth and depth of their knowledge.

Let me help you out. Which way did you come in?

Who is Cliffy? I think I missed that one.

I voted "thinned the herd". para does an awesome job here. I moderated a forum for years; it is harder than it looks and it is a thankless job, for the most part.

Mine started chafing so I added some lace. Chafing didn’t stop, but now it’s worth it.
