Dern ground hog better see his shadow. After a cold and snowey January, we are getting some warmer days. Much needed. Maybe it's a sign but, I trust Phil's Forcast more. What do you think we will get ? Early Spring or no ?

I'm expecting one more episode (maybe two) of what we had here this month, and then Spring. Phil sometimes gets it wrong, just like the Old Farmer's Almanac.

Phil better be careful with those PETA nuts wanting to retire him and replace him with a gay* vegan cake pink or blue winter or spring "reveal" like for revealing a baby's gender.

PETA calls to end Groundhog Day Tradition

*The cake photo shown in a couple of reports sliced and was layered like a rainbow flag. A small photo of that is included in the FOX report linked.

Edit: Glad to hear that General Beauregard Lee, the southeast's weather-predicting groundhog is still active. They closed his previous home at the Yellow River Game Ranch (NE of Atlanta) in 2017 but he's been relocated to Jackson, Georgia, southeast of Atlanta.

If it's sunny, Phil sees his shadow and goes back in his hole and hibernates for 6 more weeks. Hope for a cloudy day.

OK so I had that mixed up. We will indeed need a cloudy day.

No problem. It's one of two extra State Holidays in Pennsylvania.
1. Groundhog Day.
2. Opening Day Buck season.

Dunno, but ground hog day means pork sausage to me.

The Christian church ladies in my hometown always put on a delicious breakfast featuring pork sausage on ground hog day.

I think Phil is usually pretty accurate for Pennsylvania. For my area, not so much. 60 here tomorrow, snow and rain and sleet Wednesday.
