Were I to get on a plane and find my first class seat occupied, I’d expect the airline to remove the person. As airlines routinely bump people to the extent of dragging them off the plane, I’d expect them to “handle it.”

Kasich was ALWAYS an ASS HOLE! Thank goodness he didn't;t win the presidency. I have come to the conclusion that most politicians are undesirable scum bags that need to be shot with shit and killed for stinking.

Hell, if its good enough for this guy, why not Kasich?

I've been bumped from a number of flights over the years, but what Kasich did here is not how an adult 'man' handles business.

I have had to sit in the jump seat on a lot of flights if the plane was full...the name of the game is "revenue seat miles" and it's OK by me to jump seat. Pilots have the ability to get on just about any airline due to operating agreements between the companies to get their people where they need to be. That is one reason we usually have a crash pad shared by several pilots to get in the required sleep before the flight. The stews also have crash pads as well. And, Kasich is a real disappointment.

Put the pilot in "premium economy". I would be pissed off too. And there is not one person on this forum (I would wager) that would not throw a shit-fit if they yanked you from your 1st class seat to plop a Airline employee in it and give you the walk of shame to economy.

Never flown Alaskan but i have sat next to pilots in economy, so I dont think they are immune from flying back there.

On Delta, the only time I have ever seen a pilot bump a passenger out of first class was when he was required to get rest and needed sufficient comfort for sleep. Any other time, they have been thrown back by the toilets with the rest of the peasants.

And again, you're not entitled to that first class seat no matter how much you paid for your ticket.

What am I missing, how did the airline just let a passenger take somebody else's seat after they'd been bumped? Why didn't they toss him of the flight? If I were to get bumped, I don't get to make it another passengers problem and just pick another seat to get comfy in??
