I have nothing against Taiwanese people; I probably can't say the same about their food, though. I am a meat and potatoes man and most truly Oriental food does not tickle my fancy. I like some "Americanized" Chinese food (not all) but nearly starved in China. I fared a little better in Taiwan. Fortunately, I was only over there for a few days.

My inclination to avoid the café was strictly based on the name--"snowflake" has a bad connotation these days. I did not know it was Taiwanese or that it served ice cream desserts until I Googled it later.

It's a good thing you don't live someplace where snowflakes regularly fall from the sky. You'd have to lock yourself inside like a vampire.
