ZSMICHAELProblem with electronic signature
I am trying to send a form to my local congressman. I filled out the entire form online and it will not accept my signature. The space is greyed out. I am using Chrome. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Here are some common issues with sending e-signatures:
File permissions: The file might be read-only, preventing changes. To check on Windows, right-click on the file, select Properties, and untick Read-only in the General tab. To check on Mac, select the file, choose File > Info, and set your username to Read & Write under Sharing &
Permissions.
Browser cache and cookies: Clear your browser's cache and cookies.
Document upload: The document might not upload, or you might get a "Document Upload Error" message.
Document issues: The document might contain macros, be password protected, or be corrupted.
Email issues: The recipient's email server, firewall, email provider, or email client might be blocking Docusign email notifications. You can try these steps:
Ask the recipient to check their junk mail.
Confirm the recipient's email address and resend it.
Ensure your recipient has trusted all emails from docusign.net in their email client security settings.
Ask the recipient to have their IT department whitelist DocuSign domains and IP addresses.
Check if the email server has blacklisted DocuSign emails.
Microsoft SharePoint: The document might be stored in a library or folder with unique permissions or sharing settings. This might override the default settings of the SharePoint site or tenant and either allow or block certain users from initiating or accessing an eSignature request with that document.

joel9507Quick test - try the form on another browser. That might end-run the whole thing.
I have a number of websites whose buttons and other features don't work on Chrome but do work on Edge/Firefox/Opera.

Does it
require a signature?
As an aside...
While I realize that e-sign is increasingly accepted in business, it rarely even looks like the actual signature of the person signing. I can "digitally sign" with a mouse, but it doesn't look like my real signature.
Also, it's worthless for voter verification. You use a finger or a big, fat stylus pen in a small screen space and there's no way of matching signatures.

ZSMICHAELYou would think a Congressman would have a well designed website that worked. I will try another avenue. I spent enough time on this.
Thanks all for the replies.
