Vietnamese tactical team scale a 30ft wall using nothing but a wooden pole
Interesting. I saw the video with no explanation and was somewhat skeptical. I searched and found an article about it. Climb starts about the 1:40 mark.

Pretty amazing, but seems like an unnecessary risk for both the guy 30' up without fall protection and the guys lifting are vulnerable to gun fire. The guy is pretty FUBAR if the lift team drops him while taking gunfire.

Seems like those 3 guys could have carried a ladder of equal length just as easily....

Yeah, not sure of the practicality of it, but it did look pretty cool and that's what matters, right? Right??

Did they bring that pole with them, or did they make it on site around the corner before the video started?

Would be SO easy for the climber to lose traction-- 100 different ways in a real life situation. But definitely looks cool.

That's nothing. If those were SEALs, the last two guys would have polevaulted up.

Nah, no tactical beards.
That's because they aren't true operators.
