What a great match. Both players played superbly. Not much you can do when the the other guy makes a 60 ft downhill breaking eagle putt on 17 and a 10 ft birdie putt on 18 to go to to sudden death.

I watched a few minutes of it when I was able to but I mainly watched the Solheim Cup and the Wyndham.

Agree on 17th hole but Ghim really gave him an opening on 18. Match play is funny in that every shot of your opponent changes the dynamic. When Ghim left it short on 18 I think it really emboldened Doc. Not saying he wouldn't have done the same things, but I know Ghim is disappointed in his 36th and especially 37th hole. Looked like his never as just blew for the playoff hole. Still, he played great golf all day long. I'm gonna vote for the funniest frog with the loudest croak on the highest log.

It was a great match. I have enjoyed the US Amateur for several years now. There always seems to be some excitement. ____________________________ Yes, Para does appreciate humor.
