I didn't feel that this was appropriate to post in my other post on the passing of a retired Police K9. The background on the below video is the suspect armed with a shotgun went across the street and broke into his girlfriend's house. When officers arrived, suspect was on his front porch. The suspect ignored officers' order, ran into his house and grabbed the shotgun. Officers entered and confronted the suspect. During the confrontation the K9, an 18 month old German Shepherd who is a new addition to the department, engaged the suspect and bit the loaded shotgun and ended up wrestling it away from the suspect. The K9 carried the shotgun into another room away from the suspect.
The bad guy is lucky the dog didn't grab him, or the LEO shot him.

It looked like the suspect used the shotgun to protect himself from the K9. The K9 is young and new, so it bit and held on, instead of transitioning to a body bite. All in all, good outcome. Of course the suspect was given a $142,000.00 bond and out before the ink dried on the reports.
