Anyone going to the DSC Convention and understand the CCW Rules?
The GA World Congress Center states they allow it, but vendors may restrict it. The DSC site states ALL firearms are restricted to one hall, no ammo, must be disassembled and rendered unusable . It seems it is written for exhibitors, but it is not clearly written. While I understand the rules for guns 10,000 people will be fondling, it seems odd a hunting convention would restrict CCW. Anyone have any idea?

Many times venues are required by insurance requirements to be no carry.
Integrity is doing the right thing, even when nobody is looking.

At the "Nation's Gunshow" in Manassas, VA all CCW's are rendered inoperable with a zip tie down the barrel, through the action, or binding the hammer mandated by insurance. They also ask that magazines be empty, but I have never seen them enforce the latter.
I zip tie my carry myself before going to the show where I usually work the NRA table on Sat. mornings. Come by and say hi next weekend. Folks who join or renew their NRA membership at the table, which will be just outside the entrance, receive a free ticket to the show plus some swag (hat/t-shirt, flashlight, knife, or box of trap/skeet shells). And, oh yeah, membership fees are discounted as well.
Edited to correct show location from former to current. This message has been edited. Last edited by: architect,

Russell (one of the door guys, usually has a name tag that says Tye or Dye, had sent many out into the parking lot with loaded mags
he used to allow folks to leave them at the table, but one went missing so he had to replace the mag, so now,, empty or back in the car you go,
if the layout is the same, I will be just inside at the exit door(s) on an endcap
I called DSC today thinking everyone would be here or on their way, but got a very nice lady battling the flu that informed me the restrictions were for vendors, and that they followed the venues rules for CCW. So, if anyone is going, you are allowed to carry.
If that turns out to not be true, I’ll let you know!
