Instant stew mix. They never knew what hit them which is the only downside.

That meeting is adjourned, early and in a good way. The next meeting is cancelled.

Their meeting sure ended with a bang.

Lots of missed opportunities due to MIL/GOV redtape.

In many of these strikes that we see - the insurgents are nearly dispersed by the time the order comes down to engage. What are they using - a telegraph?

Good point. I’ve concluded that one of our biggest obstacles in time sensitive targeting is delagated authorities. Strike authorities should be delegated to a level that can make decisions at speed commensurate with action. Instead we often delegate to levels who can’t possible decide at the pace of events. It leads to a lot of aborted attempts, and is a real problem challenging the lethality of our air campaign.

I don't understand why we just don't kill the enemy. Its like everything has to become a committee debate

that's no way to fight a war

Yep, I totally agree. Same thing with drug grow fields. Find them and bomb them. No questions asked, no F’s given.

Find the enemy or drugs, just send in a smart bomb and call it a day.

The current ROE's aren't compatible with fighting an insurgency, where time is critical and speed is essential. The biggest mistake of GWOT was getting the big mainline FOGO's involved, who's only comprehension of battle was large scale warfare and a poor comprehension of insurgency/guerrilla/ideological warfare.
