Congratulations Edmond! You have earned it.

Probably not girlfriend, he has a wife and a daughter.

Yeah, I can confirm that having your girlfriend pin you with your wife and daughter present is awkward.

Congratulations!!

Thank you all, been a busy few days. It's something I was passed up the previous 3 years. Now I look forward to making Lieutenant Colonel hopefully on my first try. Big Grin Might even stick around and find enough pity to make Colonel.

Yep, that's me! Big Grin

Had somewhat of a development yesterday on that front, too. Had a couple of rejections, at least they let me know they didn't want me. One of them was a reference from an MBA classmate, he said their hiring process was "different." I applied for a position with his company, deals with consulting, and got a rejection for the position I applied for but it was followed up by an e-mail from the director of talent saying she wanted to schedule a 30 minute phone call to see where else I could fit. To me, that's the tough part, talking to a human being so they can see it's not an idiot behind the resume.

Hopefully I get promoted a couple more times so everyone can get some pinning in. Big Grin

Firstly, congratulations on the promotion. I must admit to being mildly confused though, as I thought you had left the Army when you went back to school for the MBA. In any case, that's a major accomplishment and congratulations once again.

Not sure if its the same in the Army, but in the Navy its sometimes easier to promote in the reserves than AD.

That may be the Major's (select) path.

Congratulations. I really don't think you'll have a problem getting a job with that military pedigree even in today's culture.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.
