The speed limit on lakes in Michigan is 55mph

The fastest I've even gone on the water was in an acquaintance's jet boat: 18 ft. (?) Sidewinder with a 455 cu. in. engine driving a Berkeley jet drive. Allegedly just north of 70 MPH.
