Drones (and some say UFOs) over NJ and now Philadelphia
According to the timeline reported here: Link, drones were reported in NJ on Nov 18 and 25, and Dec 1.
The nuclear material seems to have been lost on Dec 2. It's the size of the pointy part of an ice pick and is apparently used to calibrate PET scan machines. Link. I sincerely doubt anyone is using radiation sniffing drones to find this, but it makes great fodder for the clicks on the internet. This message has been edited. I'm even more fascinated by the reports that feature video of these drones have decided to circle them in a red or highlight them on screen.
Lets see...
There is this big f#<!^g thing in the sky with seven or so flashing lights at night. Our viewers are too stupid to figure out where it is in the picture? Duh?

Here are just a few more examples showing how long this has been going on. Our poor military just can't figure it out.

I really don't understand how the US Military can allow these to operate with impunity around installations and warships.

There’s only one answer. They know exactly what they are because they are our drones.

Good news!
FedEx found the missing radioactive material lost Dec 2 safely wrapped in a couple layers of Styrofoam, Link :
"A theory that "missing" radioactive material in New Jersey could be linked to the string of mysterious "drone" sightings in the state has been disproven, according to the Department of Energy and related officials.
The link between the alleged drone sightings and radioactive material stemmed from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission issuing an alert on Dec. 5 that stated a piece of medical equipment used for cancer scans had been "lost in transit" three days prior.
The mayor of Belleville, New Jersey, Michael Melham further stoked these theories during an appearance on Fox TV's "Good Day New York" on Tuesday, saying, of the drone sightings, "What might they be looking for? Maybe that's radioactive material."
"It was a shipment. It arrived at its destination. The container was damaged, and it was empty," Melham said.
The shipping container in question departed from the Nazha Cancer Center in Newfield, New Jersey, and contained an Eckert & Ziegler model HEGL-0132 device that arrived at its destination "damaged and empty," according to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission's original notice.
The device contains trace amounts of the radioactive isotope Germanium-68, which is used as a radiation source for one of the cancer center's CAT scan machines.
James Dalzell, M.D., at the Nazha Cancer Center, told ABC News on Tuesday that the missing material has been found and has been disposed of properly.
Dalzell said the equipment was shipped via Fed-Ex, which temporarily misplaced the item. It was later found and delivered to the manufacturer.
Dalzell explained that the material was depleted ahead of its transport to the disposal facility. While there were still trace amounts of radiation, it was so low that they only needed to wrap in a few layers of Styrofoam to render it safe for transport."
Have any of these sightings recorded or shown a red light at the nose of the UFOs?

^It's great that the lost scanning material turned out to be a nothing burger, but it should be noted that it doesn't rule out a much larger scale nuclear threat. I'm not saying it is, but at this point everything else is still on the table.
You’re assuming there were drones to begin with and then searching for an explanation that fits.
My kid says that’s a Ferrari 296GTB. I’m going 45mph and it’s going 45mph the opposite direction. My kid took the picture from the front passenger seat out the rear driver’s side door window. He spotted it, got his phone out, and took pictures of it in a matter of seconds.
Cameras everywhere that can take pictures and videos in seconds and yet there doesn’t seem to be any video or pictures that support what people are saying they’ve seen.
The most credible sightings; Coast Guard ship, military bases, Trump golf course, etc. don’t really fit radiation sniffing drone theory.

Trapper189 forgive me if my post came off as critisizing yours. That was not the intention. I was merely adding information to your thoughtful post.
I’m fascinated, probably a little obsessed at the moment with this story, and like an explanation as much as anyone else. I believe some people saw real drones. I can’t believe how much hype and grandstanding is happening. Look all the politicians demanding that something be done! Done about what exactly?
Just for fun read some of these stories and replace “drone” sighting with “man with a gun” sighting. Of course pretend it’s not New Jersey, because the same thing would probably happen. Pretend it was somewhere open carry was legal and people were exercising their right to carry. A man with a gun was spotted near a military base. Better yet, dozens of men with guns were spotted in a military base.
Going back to the first example, someone reports to the FBI there’s a man with a gun near a military base. Days later, politicians and reporters ask the FBI who he was and what he was doing. FBI says we don’t know, but we don’t think it was the Iranians and we don’t believe the man had any ill intent. Politicians and reporters ask why. FBI says he didn’t do anything illegal. Politicians scream, we must do something about that!
