Why do we have to stop using the n word? The black population use it on a regular basis. They want to act like they are so offended when the word is used regardless of the context but yet they still allow it to be used especially in the rap community.

It is the most easy and obvious thing to spark Liberal mock outrage and a pretext for labeling all White people as racists.

Personally, I avoid using any trigger words just due to a lifelong commitment to try to respect people and avoid deliberate offense, but, ironically, lately PC Naziism has become so ridiculous that I kind of enjoy when other people piss them off.
I went and bought a Papa John pizza last night even though it is only the second one I have bought in my life.

You don't want to stop using it?

I think the answer to your question is obvious - it's offensive to most black people. Screw the minority of black people that use it, and ignore the politics and social justice lunacy of the left.

IMO, it's just a matter of respect.

Never uttered that word or similar words in my life, it's called having an expanded vocabulary.

See if the white supremacists had any cleverness in them, they would just make a supercut of it from hi-hop and rap songs and blast it full volume during their parades. It would make for a good troll at the very least.

Every OTW (other-than-white) has to have a word to be offended by.
But what do I know I'm just a white-honkey-cracker?

I don't use it nor any other racially based derogatory term.

That being said, it's just a word and there shouldn't be the repercussions that currently exist today. Yes, there may be ties to slavery. But AFAIK, almost every race / culture has been subject to slavery at some point in time.

To me, it's just a word like any other derogatory term. I don't use it. And it doesn't make it less offensive just because you're black. But to raise a shit storm over it? Please.

its a word

some people take offense, others don't

however I don't use it personally although there are some people that have probably earned the right to be called nigger by their actions and attitudes in which case I think its an accurate descriptor

Not even close. Every car occupied by a black person at any stop light and/or parking lot has "rap" music blaring with every other word being nigger. If these folks were even remotely offended by it, they'd never want to hear that word uttered, no matter who is doing so. It's all about the perception of being offended in the hopes that they'll make some white person somewhere feel bad about being white. It has worked pretty well too....on the simple minded lefties full of white guilt. I don't particularly like the word myself, but one cannot complain about it's use while simultaneously using it.

You absolutely don't have to stop using it. Use it everywhere you go, sprinkle it into everyday conversations whenever possible. Most importantly make sure you use it when in black communities. I'm sure you will be making friends right and left. Plus it should really advance you in your career.

I have never used the word "nigger" in a derogatory way towards anyone or any group. Same with chink, kike, wop, etc. Never. But I have used the word in an objective, explanatory way such as this post. It is a word, a collection of letters, but becomes a weapon if used offensively. But just because it is extremely offensive doesn't mean that the utterance of the word in a logical manner is offensive.

I don’t use it but if it’s so goddam offensive why is the black community not calling out and condemning rap music?

Hey the fucking point I’m trying to make is if you want to condemn the use of the word condemn it. Don’t tell me I can’t use it but then you and your buddy use it freely with no recourse.

It's a fair question.

If black people were offended by the mere utterance of the word then they would put more effort into keeping their own from using it. And if they were only offended when it was used in a derogatory manner then they wouldn't attack people for using it like Papa John did The attack on him in this instance shows me that the word means nothing at all. It is simply something else they keep in their arsenal to use against anyone who isn't black to accuse them of being racist.

Surely you understand context.

If your best buddy says, "How are you, you SOB?" you aren't offended.

If a stranger calls you an SOB, it can be very different.

It is like that. I understand it rankles, but understanding that context and the person using any speech can matter isn't news.

Look man, we just need a reason to get all worked up and angry! Don't worry about, just get angry!

Seriously, I think this is all about not being raised right.

People haven't been taught about how to conduct themselves and move on. How to be the bigger person. How to say I disagree but ok.

Heck, in my earlier days on Sig Forum I would get into pissing matches and back and forths with folks.

Now I just chuckle and move on when I see someone showing their ass. Part of that is maturity of course, but part of it is I was still being "raised."

Being "raised" isn't just by your parents. It's by your bosses, your coworkers, your spouse, your friends, etc. We're influencing people around us and being influence all the time.

So these like minded halfwits all congregate together and inhale each others' breathe, they are being raised to be outraged and offended. They don't know any better.

My mentors and coworkers (and my parents before them even though I didn't necessarily get the message until later in life) taught me to move on. Not to argue with an idiot because you'll both always lose, etc.

These people are surrounded by folks who get outraged. Logic be damned, just get mad! It's all they know. They actively dissociate and "unfriend" (both in virtual life and real life) anyone who has a different point of view under the idea that said person is evil and a bad person for having different views, so why hang out with an evil person? Don't, just stop being around them.

End result is them all just pouring gasoline on each others' fires. No logic, just mob stupidity.
