rbert0005IPhone 16-IOS 26
Ever since I installed IOS 26 I have to sign in to various websites if I want to visit(including this one) multiple times if I go back.
Seems to me like it may be some sort of setting.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Bob

architectNot necessarily pertaining to the phone model or OS release, but it is routine for an update to an OS or browser that any saved logins become invalid. This is due to the newbies identifying themselves differently to the web server than their predecessors. It should happen only once for each website if you have the in-browser password saver configured correctly (and check the "remember this system" box).
I'm also thinking that the querying system's IP address may be part of the required "been here before" formula. If so, use of a VPN or changing your router's upstream IP address may trigger the re-login requirement.
I am pretty sure that most websites use a cookie stored on your computer/phone to facilitate this behavior. It would be the easy way to do it. So your cookie settings may play into why this is happening.

911BossUsing Safari?
Are you sure you are not in the “Private browsing” mode?
Tap on the three dots in lower right
Tap on. “All Tabs”
Scroll/slide between “Private”, “(number) Tabs”, “Various Tab groups”
If on “Private”, it doesn’t save history and won’t access your stored passwords

No, it is the current version. Went from beta to full release in September with release of the iPhone 17 models.

CQB60I’ve installed it on my IPad and immediately noticed a quantum difference in battery consumption. Some of the interface changes are annoying and it’s easy to hit the screen size minimize button. But I’m stuck with it now and have to hope Apple fixes it with further releases in the development cycle.

Higher or lower? And please quantify “quantum difference“.
Serious about crackers.

CQB60I actually upgraded my IPad to 26.2 last night and noticed that my battery challenges from the previous version of v26 have improved…

Anytime you do a major version change battery life is impacted
temporarily. There are a lot of background tasks and file indexing that go on for a few days that eat up the battery.
Lots of articles about this, battery life should be back to normal shortly.
