maxxpower2019 Toyota RAV4 Redesign
I am looking to replace a Corolla with one of these for the daily driver.
My wife has a 2016 Rav4 and it has been a great vehicle. Good in the snow, decent on gas, and totally reliable.
I am considering the hybrid version but i am intrigued by the new torque vectoring all wheel drive system available on the non hybrid models since I live out in the middle of nowhere and deal with snow regularly.
I think the new design looks great.
Not happy that they did away with the cruise control stalk though......

I doubt it. Highlander has a 3rd row. While it probably wouldn't be comfortable enough for a taller adult on a road trip, the back is good enough for kids or average sized adults for regular driving.
The V6 with 295 HP offers decent towing capability which I doubt the I4 could match.

stiabI believe the best Rav4's ever made were the V-6 true 4WD models. I would not be interested in a 4 cylinder AWD version.

ftttuWe have 3 2016 RAV4s, and we’re super happy with all of them. I like the current storm trooper styling, but not so much of the new.
I first saw the ‘19 a few months ago, and from the images, I didn’t like the nose styling - it projects too far forward.
I will decide if I like it when I see one. The Auto Show is on in San Antonio so I hope to kick the tires on that and other vehicles in the near future.

wingfootI wonder how well my golf clubs would fit in one of these? I've been contemplating getting rid of my truck and getting a smallish SUV.

AirmanJeffThey sell a shit ton of those things. My mother-in-law is the classic RAV4 buyer and she happily plopped down 35 grand for one last year. Crazy.

1s1kThe interior looks nice. I would have to see a non base model to judge the exterior. I’ve never been a fan of all the cheap black plastic all the manufacturers put on their base models. On this model in particular it looks bad because of the wheel arches not matching the arc of the tires. GM had a vehicle with squared of wheel arches that looked even worse to my eye.

joel9507Haven't been tracking the redesign, but a year after my wife got her 2016 hybrid RAV-4, I got myself a 2017.

Excellent vehicles. Mine is only different from the 2016 by one calendar-year's incremental improvements in accessory stuff - top-view camera and slightly better console apps. I imagine the 2019 tweaks will be appreciated as well.

Read an interesting article recently that said the auto industry has redefined "SUV" so that now it only designates a
body style, and does not mean the vehicle has any additional capabilities. I believe that fits the 4 cylinder AWD Rav4.
