He says "Us" not America while surrounded by foreigners. The Left doesn't realize the Constitution that should protect our rights from them should also protect their rights from us. ____________________________________________________ The butcher with the sharpest knife has the warmest heart.

As former military, I never liked what Kerry did during the Vietnam War Era. What is surprising is that he is so open about his anti-Constitution view, but again speaking at the WEP should not be surprised--he was playing to the elitists, not the American public. Must be terribly frustrating to no longer controlling the narrative by simply passing out "press releases" to your favorite reporters. I think that COVID has led the public at large not to trust much coming out of Washington or the MSM.

Kerry was, and remains, among a handful of the most loathsome politicians in m lifetime. I try not to hate anyone, but for him… _______________________________________________________ despite them

He is fascist to the core. He also represents the mainstream of the DNC leadership- Biden, Harris, Obama, Clinton, Pelosi, Schumer, Walz, etc. and their rising stars: AOC, Tlaib, Jeffries, Omar, et al. .

Left-Handed, NOT Left-Winged! |
I've been meaning to write something on this lately. I don't agree with Kerry but I understand him. Why? Prior to WWII, newspaper Moguls controlled the news and printed what they wanted. The idea that "It isn't news unless I PRINT IT" was common and we all know who the moguls were, most deftly personified by Orson Wells in Citizen Kane. During WWII the government had control over all media reporting on WWII. They controlled the narrative at all times. They didn't tell only good news, but bad news and defeats were presented in a way to encourage support for the war and purchase of War Bonds. To think that this did not continued after WWII is naive. The post war period was optimistic partially because of the media. With only three TV networks and a relatively small number of big city newspapers controlling the narrative, the center-left progressive view was ALWAYS in front. They liked Kennedy more than Nixon. They hid Kennedy's health issues and sexual escapades. When Nixon finally got elected they did EVERYTHING to remove him, much like Trump. The left bias has always been there, even with Walter Cronkite. But back that there was no alternative except maybe National Review and other conservative journals. Now, with the internet, there are tons of alternatives. The "elites" and government can no longer control the narrative. They control the MSM certainly, but at this point most people do not get their news from the MSM. Boomers do, but not younger people. On the other hand, the internet and X are filled with crazy shit that is created only to get clicks and ad revenue. Yes, people on all sides created stories just to get attention, which becomes money. When I was a kid if you read something in a major magazine or journal, you could reasonably assume that it wasn't complete B.S. - it might be biased or lacking critical info, but it wasn't just a complete fabrication. We knew the Enquirer and Weekly World News were fake. So no matter what the truth is about anything, there are people making shit up and posting it to appeal to confirmation bias. It is up to the individual to sort the wheat from the chaff. But most people just believe shit they agree with and assume it's true. It is not unlike the pre-mass media says when anyone with access to a printing press could publish whatever they wanted and hand it out to the people. The difference is the internet provides SCALE that could not have been imagined in the past. So now you see efforts to clamp down on the internet and social media to get back to the days where the government controlled the media. And if the "elites" have to trash the 1st Amendment to do it, they will. But I have some faith that SCOTUS, regardless of political affiliation will stand up for the 1st.

If he looked like Paul Newman in his prime, would he be a less despicable person? We do this stuff so reflexively, I understand why longtime members may forget our policy of refraining from commenting on the appearance of others, but now you've been reminded, and I should not see this kind of thing from you again, Jupiter.

Yes, it was reflexive and I should have known better. I'll delete the comment. Diligentia, Vis, Celeritas "People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf." -- George Orwell

What a massive POS. The climate religion is about complete control of humanity. These people are so close to winning and so close to losing at the same time. The censorship and the government meddling in social media may not have come to light if not for Elon. I expect they will attack him relentlessly if Trump is unsuccessful in the election. I’m pretty confident that Trump will succeed and will do my part and make sure everyone I know gets to the polls. _________________________ "An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile - hoping it will eat him last” - Winston Churchil
