Area is Buena Vista and about 30 mile stretch north in western virginia. Camera used was my Nikon Z7 II with the wonderful 24-120 zoom. This is a road well worth traveling on for the scenery and the views. Posted this to provide a moment of Tranquility for our members.

I've stopped counting.

Beautiful!

Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

Beautiful area. I lived part time in Roanoke a few decades ago and spent time there riding my bike and motorcycle.
That whole area along I-81 is a nice route if you have the option when traveling the area. The Blue Ridge PKWY parallels the interstate, but on top of the ridge line.

According to my Sister who lives in Lexington, va it's closed from Roanoke into the Carolina's due to the hurricane. She didn't have a clue as to when it might re-open but that may be a year or more. A lot of damage was done and funding for the repairs may be an issue because it's not a Federal Route.

This one was taken 10/28 while heading to Natural Bridge on the motorcycle with the wife. Pull off on Highway 501 just before Glasgow. James River below.

Nice photos.

The fish is mute, expressionless. The fish doesn't think because the fish knows everything.

Beautiful, thanks for sharing guys! The leaves are all pretty much gone here. I love fall but it feels short-lived.

After my first retirement I spent 7 months in 2007 and 8 months in 2008 in the cardiology department of the VA Hospital in Salem, VA outside of Roanoke. We traveled the countryside and especially the Blue Ridge Parkway a lot, including a trip to "Byuna Vista". Unfortunately, though, we were never there to see the fall colors. Lovely.

According to reports, lots and lots of cleanup remain to be able to reopen in NC.

P.S. Too late for color in NC mountains any way unless you enjoy brown and dead.
