WTF. I am in the donut hole on my meds so I have to pay up. I have two prescriptions I was getting at Kroger for cash because GoodRx was better than my insurance. 90 days ago one was $37, this week it was $62. I have another that will be due in 30 days. Last time the cash price was $69, $350 today. With insurance at the preferred pharmacy it is $210. Cash at Meijer is $77. Hope that holds until I can refill. Good grief. _____________________ Be careful what you tolerate. You are teaching people how to treat you.

I thought dark Brandon just got everybody a deal on prescription drug prices… No? "Pacifism is a shifty doctrine under which a man accepts the benefits of the social group without being willing to pay - and claims a halo for his dishonesty." ~Robert A. Heinlein

Thank president potato: https://thehill.com/homenews/a...ation-reduction-act/ The $2000 annual cap for Medicare Part D plan prescriptions doesn’t take effect until 2025 and other provisions in 2026. So guess what? The drug companies are going to get theirs between now and then. Our government has been creating problems and coming up with ‘solutions’ for decades. There is no such thing as a free lunch. Someone has to pay for it. ——————————————— The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Psalm 14:1

You might check cost plus drugs if you’re using non controlled generics.

My understanding is that most pharmaceuticals are, at least in part, derived from crude oil byproducts. So, if the price of oil goes up, drug companies costs go up, and not just in the distribution component. I would expect that there might be some delay before these cost increases hit the pricing structure, but this is yet another way that going green sucks the greenbacks out of your pocket. Now we have FJB rimming the sheiks to get them to keep pumping while simultaneously strangling US oil production. If someone wrote this stuff up into a novel, it would be universally panned as unrealistic, who could possibly believe that anyone could be so stupid? Watch closely SF'ers, history is happening before you.

Oil byproducts are a small portion. GREED is the simple reason translated into a high share price.
