Tried a couple fenix lights.

Push button activates too often while in pocket. Clip broke off two.

Is the stiletto good? Don’t mind if it’s a little bigger. Would prefer rechargeable but not a must.

I have been using the Lumin Shield and before that the Olight. I have come to love the 'flat' light but what sets the Lumin apart is the on/off switch that can disable the buttons so there are no accidental presses. I have been very satisfied with it. The Olight had a strange clip that allowed you to clip it to the bill of a cap as well, I found it reached out and snagged stuff too often. I even left it on the seatbelt in a friends car by accident as it snagged the belt as I got out and his wife found it Smile
Lumin Shield

this is the one I have but I do not believe mine has the strobe function which I dont care for anyway.

I don’t know if you’re looking to get away from Fenix, but I just got a Fenix TK21R not too long ago and really like it. Not too big or small, pretty bright, and USB-C rechargeable. I carry mine in my sap pocket.

Fenix E30R.

More of a work light than a tactical light.
5 levels up to 1600 lumens, always comes on on the lowest level and sequences up.
Has a side button instead of a tail cap. Double click will lock the switch so it won’t come on by accident.
I took the clip off of mine to keep the bulk down.
Magnetic charging cable so you don’t need to open it up to charge it.
It has been my EDC light for about 6. Years.

I think it may have been replace by the E35R but I think you can still find them. I would have to look up the specs to compare the 2 but if the physical size was the same I would be good with it, the 30 is at the upper end for me to pocket carry.

I have one with the usb and one without, I prefer the usb.

These aren’t half bad either, just a little on the long side for tossing it in a front pocket.

These are great lights. Depending upon how much light you need they have numerous sizes.

I have a few of the microstreams and always have one on me.
They are rugged put out a nice light. I use the USB rechargeable ones.
They all have gone through the washing machine and dryer multiple times. No issues because of it.

I bought the Stiletto Pro for work. It’s a kick ass light at a ridiculous price. It is a great light though.

I am seeking the same size light for the ruler pocket on my jeans, but I don't need( or want) anything over 500 lumens.

90% of the time, all I need is 50 lumens .

I've had a Wedge or two for many years. Like the form factor, nice light. However, depending on what you're doing with it... I recently stopped carrying it at work because it was just a little too bright for some of the work I was doing.

I started carrying an Olight Arkfeld Ultra at work with more brightness options. I have a Like/hate relation with it though. Not as sleek at the Wedge. The function switch is way too easy to turn by accident, often causing me to turn the laser on when I'm expecting light. Double screw up there, besides being too easy to change modes, the laser should not be next to the light (the most used option). The switch is light/laser/UV. Laser shouldn't be in the middle.

For work I'm thinking of going back to something Streamlight Stylus sized (of which I have several), need to see what the rechargeable options are.

On my third Stiletto since they came out. You can get about three washings out of them in a pocket before they do not work again.

I really like them.

I carry a Streamlight Macrostream daily off-duty, and use it all the time. It's small enough to be almost unnoticeable in a pocket, but bright enough to serve as a rudimentary tac-light if needed. It goes to max brightness on the initial press (which is a must-have for me), then "low" with a second. The low setting lasts for hours...I clip it to a hat brim and use it as a headlamp for construction projects, or for hiking after dark.

I've had the smaller "microstream" before, and IMO it's not bright enough. My son has the new Megastream, and IMO it's too big for EDC pocket carry. The Macrostream hits the sweet spot in the middle.

The one thing I'd change is recess the tailcap switch...it does occasionally get turned on in the pocket, although not often enough to be a dealbreaker.

Bought a fenix TK21R I believe is the model. They had a 20% off for Memorial Day.

Hopefully the clip isn’t friction fit.

Normal price is ~$45 but you can find them on sale online for under $30 from time to time. For example:
https://www.chicagoknifeworks....07-flashlight-black/
https://www.chicagoknifeworks....dc07-flashlight-tan/

Similar slim and flat pocketable shape as lights like the Wedge or Stiletto. Similar performance. Same USB-C rechargeable battery. Just a plastic body instead of metal, and a fraction of the price.

Good performance. Great value. And cheap enough that you have have a number of them laying around, and that you don't mind if one gets lost or torn up. (Or washed in the washing machine one too many times...)

This is what I was going to recommend, the Fenix E03R V2.0 . I guess it depends on how you carry it. This one does not have a clip, attaches to a keychain, and the button switch has a lockout function so it does not accidentally turn on in your pocket. I carry this on a few different things.

I also carry the Fenix E06R on a few keychains as it has UV and laser functions, but the switch does not have a lockout function and I have found it turned on accidentally at some point in my pocket.

As far as beyond a really compact pocket flashlight, I LOVE the Fenix PD36RPRO. This is still a size that can be carried clipped on a pocket or carried in something and is super use in many ways and brightness levels.

I have lots of Fenix flashlights and really like them.

I carry a PD36R as one of my duty lights. It's fantastic, but the pocket clip is absolute dogshit. I removed the clip and carry it in a nylon pouch on my vest instead.

Great pouch light. Terrible pocket light.
