My dad passed on December 31 last year. I feel your pain. You were blessed to have a dad that was a guiding light in your life. His wisdom and love will always be with you.

I know how it feels my Daddy was buried 2 weeks after he found out he had cancer.

He died May 27.1980 my birthday is May 28th I spent my birthday at the funeral home.

My dad passed at 92 in 1995 and my mom at 92 in 2000. I too used to get daily calls from dad.

Sorry to hear this leonidas211. My parents passed about 8 years ago and I talked to them (long distance) at least twice a week. Your advice to call our parents is very good. I still miss both of them very much. I would have felt awful had I not talked to them as much as I did. Again, sorry to hear about your dad.

I'm sorry for your loss and pray you'll be able to deal with the pain. I lost my father a little over a decade ago and it was physically shocking to me as well as emotional. When I learned of his death, it felt as if an electrical current had passed through my body. Its tough dealing with grief, but I've learned to appreciate every moment of life that I have and the time spent with my father through the process.
