PykerShort term health insurance
I need to cover 6 months before I hit Medicare. What are your recommendations for short term health insurance? My only pre-existing condition is medication controlled HTN.
TIA.

BigWhupHere, Blue Cross BS has some short term, the longest being 11 months, If I recall right.
Deductible is about $5K but would serve your purpose. You can cancel anytime as well. And they are cheap per month. Might look at them if they serve your area.
Used it for my son when he was between jobs and waiting to be employer eligible.

sig2392If you are leaving a job, check into COBRA.
They have to cover you for at least 18 months.
I had the same issue.

It's COBRA that's expiring and there's no option to extend.
