Recruiting numbers are so low right now across all branches. I think they’re grasping at straws in an attempt to recruit, with the caveat, join the military and get your free meds and surgeries.

Looks like the Navy purposely ‘Bud Lite’ed’ itself.

The ad will turn off more potential recruits than it will attract the few that agree with it. Yeah, that marketing lady moved over to the Navy.

Meanwhile, China prepares for war.

What a sickening embarrassment. We are headed down the same road as Rome. I don’t believe for a second that this will inspire more people to join up.

Russia and China are licking their chops; we are fiscally bankrupting ourselves in Ukraine. Now we are morally bankrupting ourselves nationally. We have depleted our military stockpiles. What tech the Chinese haven’t stolen, we are probably giving them with this crooked, leftist, globalist controlled administration.

We are in SERIOUS trouble. And half of the country thinks it’s ok.

Yup... maybe it'll attract a small handful of mentally ill new sailors, but meanwhile how many people who would have signed the line will now think "I'm not getting stuck on a ship with that!" and either choose a different branch, or more likely, choose not to enlist at all?

^^^ That's exactly what is already happening, which is why the recruiting numbers are so low.

Also, current military are telling sons, brothers, nephews NOT to go into the military.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Not just current but retirees (like me) and other veterans.

Leadership is circling the drain causing toxicity virtually throughout.

Certifiable member of the gun toting, septuagenarian, bucket list workin', crazed retiree, bald is beautiful club!

Shellbacks perform an initiation on the pollywogs.

Some how I don't think it's the same.

There's a difference between forcing gay shit on a straight guy who resents doing gay shit and encouraging a gay to do gay shit.

In any case, I would think that was drastically curtailed when women came onboard, err, I mean were stationed onboard.

I guess I wrote it someplace but with this recruiting strategy, the Navy owes a lot of homosexuals they drummed out of the service a lot of back pay. Har har... I said, back... pay.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Being USMC, we’d rag on other services. What we’d say about the USN, particularly about submariners, is that “100 crew members would set out on their mission, but tragically, 50 couples would return.”

I respect all services, but man alive, I can’t support ANYTHING woke or center left. I remember when the USA started that “Army of One” campaign, which POed me and many others. This new campaign for the USN is light years worse!
