As for the people supporting her, they're her age, and understand that people get free stuff by reviewing it. "Influencers" are real. Logan Paul someone you've probably heard of but would certainly never actually watch. Made 12 million dollars a year making stupid videos that featured products. I mean STUPID. A good example is a seven second video for Bud Light on his cell phone that he got $20,000 for. Then he recently posted a tasteless video and got his monetization pulled by YouTube. Live by the stupid video, die by a stupider video. It's no different than any other celebrity endorsement, except that these people (paradoxically) are "celebrities" you've never heard of. As far as the girl is concerned, it seems like this is a case of "it never hurts to ask". The Hotel owner should have just politely declined. The fact that anyone is siding with her (millennial or not) shows that she won the social media equation, and he lost. Which is what she wanted in the first place. | |||

I thought this seemed familiar. The Hotelier has used this tactic before. “To all the enraged breastfeeding mothers who are planning to protest outside our cafe by 'getting your tits out', please be advised that our café is open from 7:30 - 15:00 daily. The brain dead vegans came at 7:30pm when we were closed. Please don't make the same mistake.” You could say he’s standing by his principles. But the cynic in me thinks he’s as much of an attention whore as the blogger. Either way, I’ll be engaging with neither of them. Nobody should be mad here. Everyone should just laugh their asses off and both win. I now know who Elle Darby is. I can assure you I would have never stumbled upon her channel other wise. God do I feel stupider after watching a couple of minutes of her videos. But she got two view counts out of someone who doesn't give a crap about her or the products she pitches. I am sick of seeing idiots like this everywhere trying to get free stuff like they deserve it. I am all for giving reviews on how you like something but don't expect free stuff. You are a nobody and in a couple years people will see this and forget all about you. Too many young people today who have "friends" for parents and the parents are not doing their job to raise them.
