Oat_Action_ManAny flintknappers in the house?
So I'm teaching an anthropology/archaeology class this year for the first time. Since we'll be spending so much time talking about stone tools, I decided to use someone else's budget to get some flintknapping starter kits to start to learn the skill myself.
Any of our resident knappers have any suggestions for someone just starting out?

I have no personal knowledge, but this looks like a good resource:

PluguglyMaybe start learning on glass, before trying stone. I think this would be good due to the consistency of the material. I've seen some really nice arrowheads made from beer bottles. I plan to start learning the skill myself.
