I decided to retire for real at the end of the year. We found a great house and close on Monday. Our current house appraised very well. I don't have to screw with Christmas gifts so much because we're moving and nobody really cares. My daughter gets labor induced Monday, so Tuesday I go to Indiana to meet the new grandson. Life has become much smaller, simpler, and less stressful. I am, if not actually happy, at least much less stressed.

Good luck with your retirement! I retired last July and am enjoying myself. I will be totally out of debt next month and I work part time as a substitute teacher whenever I want.

Congratulations on your retirement and new grandson!

You'll love retirement. I have been retired for three years now, and have yet to find a downside to it.

Second grandkid, a first child for my youngest daughter. She's just about to download now, so we head up (5 hour drive) tomorrow afternoon after closing.
