Possibly out in the night stealing babies, if there's a full moon. Otherwise, I wouldn't worry.

I was hurt bad and I was afraid of what was to come when the drugs were stopped. Friends helped me. And low and behold I didn't need anything stronger than ibuprofen and Tylenol. Soon an occasional ibuprofen was it. 10 years ago.

I'm not afraid of coming off the drugs. I want to be off of them as soon as I can tolerate it. My GP doc asked me if I needed more and i told him no. I just want to be prepared for the discomfort of coming off the drugs.

do you have an addictive personality? hydrocodone is pretty week as far as pain killers go. My wife doesn't like them and her family has a history of addiction, so she tries to use alive and ibuprofin as much as possible

Fast forward to the April 22nd and I couldn't get off the couch. I had to crawl to my bedroom and have my mom come put me to bed and take care of the dogs. I thought I would go to urgent care in the morning but we decided to go the ER instead. While in the ER I got a morphine shot and a valium. I was still in pain afterwards but less pain.

The doctor prescribed 500mg naproxen twice a day valium 5mg 3 times a day and 5 mg of oxycodone as needed for pain. I have only taken the oxy first thing the morning and right before bed. I have taken the valium as directed.

I saw my primary care doctor on Friday and after the muscles have healed a little he is concerned about nerve damage and prescribed prednisone.

I'm almost out of oxy and valium. I am expecting some withdrawal symptoms any idea of severity.

Also any ideas on how to help heal.

Biggest thing you are gonna experience is being backed up.

Drink a lot of water

Take some stool softeners

Prepare for a week of uncomfortable belly issue..
The Valium is an opioid, and that will slow you down

I’m not a medical professional but I was recently on Valium and Norco 10mg for about 10 days. I had zero issues when I stopped.

For the record, I found the Valium more helpful than the Norco in my specific case.

Should not have any issues after only a week or two. That is exactly what benzos are for. Short term applications. Two months of daily use..then you'll have withdrawals. Long-term daily benzo use is absolutely horrible to quit. Worse than opiates. Takes many months and even up to years for the withdrawal symptoms to completely go away. You should never quit long term benzo use cold turkey. You can die from seizures. Got to taper off.

I would think it might be a good idea to stagger the stopping of the oxy and the Valium by few day. Regardless, I doubt the symptoms will be significant.

Best wishes for a swift recovery.
