I upgraded to the Spyder5 monitor calibration tool. I still have the Spyder3. It's obviously not latest and greatest, but I'm sure it will work OK. Basically, the purpose of one of these is to make sure that what you see on your monitor is as close to "real" as possible. Monitors vary in their ability to show colors, and even change over time, so in order to get what you see on the monitor out onto paper, calibrating your monitor is fairly important. I already talked to Datacolor tech support, and have an OK to give it away with the software. Whoever gets it will get a valid software "key". Rules: - Member as of today - Tell us about your photography - Let me know how you'll use it - Have an address reachable via USPS I'm looking to give this to someone who will really use it, not just someone who wants to collect another toy. I'll choose a winner when interest dies down. It may take me a week or two to ship, as I seem to work all weekday hours when I can get to a post office. Good luck! This message has been edited. If you would not mind adding me that would be appreciated. My wife is just getting started with photography and photoshop. I setup dual monitors and both are quite different in appearance so it would help substantially. I have tried different adjustments just can't seem to get it quite right. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. I will be your brother, and I'll hold your hand. You should know I'll be there for you!

Please include me. Even a slightly out of date tool would be better than my current method of "squint at proof, fiddle with monitor, repeat." I got bit by the photography bug when I started working in CSI. I quickly learned that photographers don't shoot weddings because they like shooting weddings. They shoot weddings because if they shoot "just one" they can buy that new lens. But then they need another lens. And a flash. And reflectors. And a wide angle. And a zoom that goes down to 2.8 or faster. And a selection of primes. And a better camera body ... I thought guns were expensive, and then I got into motorcycles. I thought that was expensive and then I got into photography...This message has been edited. Last edited by: copaup,

copaup, the Karmanator picked you. Email inbound. My one word of advice to you: don't buy a Jeep!
