The Mueller recommendation is here:

https://www.scribd.com/documen...lynn-memo#from_embed

Mueller writes that a sentence at the low end of the guideline range - including a sentence that does not impose a term of incarceration - is appropriate and warranted.

Flynn is scheduled to be sentenced on 18 Dec 2018.

Mueller writes that Flynn provided substantial assistance "to the government".

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I am very biased against Robert Mueller so my comments are definitely influenced by that bias.

So Mueller ruined Flynn's life, cost him his senior position in the administration, ruined him financially, associated him w being part of the alleged Trump campaign coordination w Russia to interfere w the 2016 election, and now,

Mueller says a sentence that does not impose incarceration is appropriate.

Mueller took over the investigation being conducted by:

James Comey (fired)
Andrew McCabe (fired)
Peter Strzok (fired)
Lisa Page (removed from her position)
James Baker (removed from his position)
Bruce Ohr (removed from his position)

and after 18 months of a $ 20 million dollar investigation, Mueller concludes it would be appropriate if Michael Flynn serves no time.

from the recommendation:

That's not an uncommon recommendation in the federal system based upon his help. I work with a former chief AUSA, over the criminal division, for our state and we've talked a fair amount about sentencing recommendations in federal cases and this does not surprise me based on what Mueller has said about Flynn. Full disclosure, not specifically this case, however.

Didn’t FBI guys say they thought Flynn didn’t lie to them? Or am I thinking of someone else in this shitshow??

Refresh my memory.

So Flynn’s problems all started with his interview by FBI Agent Peter Strzok.

Hmmmm... OK

Here is another link to the Mueller recommendation that includes a highly redacted addendum about the significance of Flynn's "cooperation".

https://www.scribd.com/documen...g-Memo-December-2018

These documents are not long and are "fast reads"

Mueller cites that Flynn's timely guilty plea likely influenced other witnesses.

Any personal bias aside, this whole thing has been a shit show of the highest order. It was begun with the specific directive of determining whether this president and/or his administration colluded with the Russians to manipulate a presidential election. On that basis alone this 'investigation' has been a spectacular failure. Not a single instance of collusion has been proven. Mueller has simply used the power of the government to harass and ruin the lives of a number of people in an effort to apparently manipulate them into falsifying a story line that could be used to fabricate a collusion narrative.

The first people who should go to jail over this abortion are the people on your list above who've either been fired or transferred, followed by McCabe, Rosenstein, and finally Mueller himself. Then maybe we can move on to Hillary and her staffers.

What are the sentencing guidelines for collusion?

If proven how long would someone spend in jail?

Yeah, that's pretty much it.

We've come to a bad place/time in this country. The government (the democrats) has the power and resources and can and will use them to destroy someone simply for not going along with their narrative and agenda. This was all political. It was to protect Comey and the deep-state FBI/DOJ for covering up the real crimes of Hillary Clinton who they all thought would be President. It's disgusting what has been done to Michael Flynn.

I have less sympathy for Paul Manafort, even though his tax evasion had nothing to do with the election or the scope of the OSC investigation.

Not sure if you're joking. Collusion isn't a crime as far as I've learned. Best Mueller can hope for is to prove some sort of collusion 'did' occur, at which point Trump and crew committed perjury which 'is' a crime. This has always been about catching this administration in a lie because proving collusion is a pipe dream.

Well since some law professors, former prosecutors and lawyers have stated there is *no* statute that deals that, my guess would zero time.

The word "collusion" does not appear in the Mueller sentencing recommendation for Michael Flynn.

So what did Michael Flynn do to interfere in the 2016 election ? (Besides campaign for Donald Trump)

Remember too, Flynn assumed the first FBI interview in January 2017 was a routine FBI mtg in the first days of his job as National Security Advisor. The FBI set him up 4 days into his job in the Trump administration.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

later this week, Mueller is scheduled to release sentencing memos for Manafort and Cohen.

Nothing.
And he (apparently) didn't even lie to Mueller's witch-hunt team. But he was financially ruined and a broken man who just couldn't fight anymore... so he plead guilty and cooperated to make them stop.

Yeah, but it won't happen.
Why? Well, just look at the style of the case:

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA :
:
v. : Crim. No. 17-232 (EGS)
:
MICHAEL T. FLYNN, :

Mueller officially represents the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
He hasn't been elected. In fact, he's been appointed under a Republican President, and a Republican Senate. He has compiled a team of Democrats to go after Republicans with an unlimited budget.

There is NO ONE to represent the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA against Hillary, Comey, Brennan, Loretta Lynch or the rest of the deep-state cabal. I've never seen anything like this in my life. Trump won the election, and named an attorney general (Sessions) who is supposed to head the DOJ but the Democrats somehow managed to retain power at the FBI and DOJ.

Perhaps if Trump pardons Flynn completely and dissolves any NDA agreements, then Flynn can tell all in a book and movie to make up some money he lost.

And in the process expose all the rats.

I have no problem with him writing a book to try to make some money.
But what difference will it make if he "in the process exposes all the rats"? The rats have been exposed by Judicial Watch and a few others. But no one cares. No one is even paying attention except a few conservatives, and we're just getting mad about it. No one is doing anything that matters. No one is prosecuting THEM.

The conclusion of Mueller's 'investigation will be timed perfectly with the opening act of the pelosi & schitt show.

^^ That might not be a bad thing. With the sudden spate of stories in the media about "Mueller's getting ready to wind everything down", what noise there was in Congress about legislation to encase his fishing expedition in statutory concrete has pretty much died away. When Mueller's done, that's one less potential traffic block that the House Dems can use to direct attention away from their wasting time while offering no leadership.
