Our daughter is starting 1st grade next week. With the state of the world the school system is starting (at least for the next 3 weeks) online. We have an iPad that she will be using and have accessed the initial teams meeting with the teacher and have accessed the website where the class materials will be.

The likely problem is both my wife and I work full time and our daughter will be going to the grandparents during the day and will “attend” school from there. They are right around 70 and not very technologically savvy. Do any of the iPad experts know of any way or apps that I can remote into the iPad and help when needed? My google search appears that it is not possible. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't use it, but until others chime in, you could look into the possibilities of using TeamViewer. It might not work for everything you'd like to be able to do (control the iPad), but at least you should be able to view the iPad screen ... https://community.teamviewer.c...TeamViewer/ta-p/4734

I suspect your search is correct, I’m not aware of any apps that allow remote access like you need. Good luck

Ipads are pretty simple, and I am sure the school will provide tech support. Here locally there is a line to call for tech support. A lot of times folks in their seventies and eighties pick this stuff up rather quickly. I have found the biggest problem is logging in and staying connected.

They had an iPad a few years ago. More worried about the website for the school work and teams meetings.

The schools here have a call in line for trouble. Five parents had trouble logging in and the school took care of it. I have been doing a lot of telehealth due to COVID and the computer literacy level among ALL ages is limited. The schools recognize the fact that there are going to be adjustment problems.

If you are concerned try logging in yourself. Let us know how it works out.

Might research jamf. Not sure if this will do what you want.
