See if this doesn't make your week a bit better. It truly makes me feel good that there really are terrific people left in this country.

What a great story! Says a lot about the rescuer too... imagine the costs he laid out for the vet, kennel care, airfare, transit from Montana, hotel and back home. He's the real deal as far as dog lovers go.

Pretty cool. Couldn't help but wonder how he got where he was found in that condition. Have to wonder if there was an owner in that shack that had something happen to them?

You always have to remember that people in other countries don't view dogs quite the way we do (unfortunately). He may have accompanied a fisherman out there, who after hauling his catch to port, opted not to hassle with going all the way back out there to get him. In his mind he could just get another dog at some point if he wanted one.

I'm just glad this young man was there to do right by ole Winston.

Winston is cute ... and lucky.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
-- Justice Janice Rogers Brown

That poor dog. He was days from death. No food and water. It's a miracle he lived as long as he did.

He just needed to enter a pack who could acknowledge and appreciate him.

Appreciate you posting that.

That put a smile on my face for sure! As a former foster parent it is so nice to see a dog adopted and have it prosper with a new loving family.
