I don't know what it is like in other areas of the country, but here in the middle of the DC swamp it seems that all the candidates (especially the D's) are strongly emphasizing their military experience, especially in those jurisdictions that have long been "blue" strongholds. Republican candidates have been doing this forever, but in prior elections The D's disparaged the military, and rarely, if ever, touted any military service connection. Now it is the first thing that is called out in a candidate's ad, the more leftist the candidate, the louder the proclamations of "served in Iraq," etc.

So it appears that, here at least, the leftist party is trying to appear more conservative than in prior years. They are truly running scared this year, especially in the most leftist parts of the area (e.g. MD and DC). I cannot recall the like, not even in 2020 when the R's were polling way ahead of the D's right up to the election. If they are not confident of being able to pull off another "steal" it has to be a good thing.

I'd be interested to know if something similar is happening in other areas, or what people are seeing from their candidates.

Haven't noticed that, but what I have noticed for the past three or four cycles is the democrats leaving any and all party affiliations off of their campaign material. Names only.

If only I could get them to stop texting me all the damn time.

The DNC (and RNC too, for that matter) are probably right at the top of the list of those who Google and the others sell your information to.

Yeah, I've seen that here in Missouri as well. The Democrat candidates never disclose their party in the ads.

Why does the Candidate always say, "I approved this message" when it is THAT ACTUAL Candidate making/talking/etc. the commercial?

Do they think we believe it is a look-a-like or some apparition we are seeing on the TV ad?
