I'm not a fan of regular beets. Not beets themselves, not borscht.
However, after wondering, 'how the heck do they get sugar out of something like that?' and doing a bit of research on sweeteners, it turns out sugar beets are a different plant.
So the question arises - are those worth seeking out to try? Anyone grow/cook/eat those?

I, too, have wondered if sugar beets were edible and tasty.
That’s despite the fact that I don’t have a sweet tooth, and I like regular red beets.
Serious about crackers.

Love borscht! Dollop of sour cream and a sprinkle of dill seals the deal!
